WSIB CLAIMS
Like the Insurance Industry, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board claim is an area that is subject to abuse and Fraud by employee’. Corporate Clients, Municipal and Government Clients and Small Business have all had employee’s that abuse this Employment Insurance Benefit, causing the company monetary loss, in time, large surcharges, and safety ratings.

Hughes Intelligence has developed a W.S.I.B. Procedure for Clients that do not presently have such a protocol in place when an accident or injury is reported in the workplace.

When an injury is reported at a work site, Hughes Intelligence investigators will attend the scene at the request of a Client and investigate the accident, identifying and interviewing witnesses, photographing the scene and completing a detailed report.

Where an employer has reasonable grounds to believe, that an employee who has commenced a W.S.I.B. claim, is abusing the claim or committing fraud, Hughes Intelligence will conduct a professional detailed investigation and surveillance, to obtain evidence of the suspected abuse or fraud.
