Mr.
Barry Bentley
President
Mr. Bentley has recently
joined the firm after retiring from the Ontario Police
Services. Barry has 25 years of Police service, starting in
Toronto.
Barry has been a qualified Collision Reconstructionist for
over 12 years and has successfully completed and obtained
diplomas in collision reconstruction, pedestrian
reconstruction, commercial vehicle reconstruction and
physics. He has investigated hundreds of serious injury and
fatal collisions and has trained hundreds of Police Officers
throughout Canada in Collision Investigation.
While employed by the Toronto Police Service he has conducted
a numerous general investigations and is experienced in
interviewing techniques, interviewing interrogation
techniques, statement admissibility, major case management,
and police supervision.
Barry has been qualified as an expert in court and provided
evidence as a collision reconstructionist. Barry has been
assigned as an acting Sergeant in charge of the
Police Traffic Division, also as an acting Sergeant on a
platoon level. Prior to his retirement he was assigned to
the Criminal Investigation Branch as a Detective to
investigate violent crimes and sexual assaults. Barry has
conducted surveillance throughout his years as a Police
officer. |

R.W.
(Ron) PRIOR
Consulting Partner
Mr. Prior is a
graduate of Centennial College, Scarborough, Ontario and the
University of Toronto Faculty of Management and possesses
Diploma's and Certificates in the Human Resources and
Management, Criminology, Labour Relations and Business
Administration. Ron is a graduate of the Metropolitan
Toronto Police Academy and the Ontario Police College,
Aylmer, the Canadian Police College, Ottawa and has
attended Seminars from the Federal Bureau of Investigation,
Quantico, Virginia, U.S.A.
While serving with
the Metropolitan Toronto Police Service, Ron spent his
career in investigation serving a number of years in the
Fraud Squad, Homicide Squad and the Intelligence Bureau.
This service placed him a position of having to conduct
major investigations and preparation of documentation for
different levels of the judicial system in Canada.
Throughout his career with the Police Service, Ron developed
numerous contacts with the National and International Law
Enforcement Agencies and continues to maintain these
resources and contacts.
After completing
twenty-six years in law enforcement, Ron retired with the
rank of Detective Inspector and ventured into the world of
Sales, Marketing and Financial Management. This coupled with
his Police experience brings a wealth of knowledge and
experience to the Hughes Intelligence Team.
Ron as the owner
of Hughes Intelligence (Sarnia) Inc. Office, in South
Western Ontario, has operated the Firm, for the past ten
years. He has completed a number of major investigations,
for Insurance Clients and Law Firms in Sarnia, London,
Windsor, Arizona, California, and the Greater Toronto Area.
He has conducted a number of International Investigations
outside Canada, for our Insurance, Corporate and Legal
Clients and has brought them to a successful conclusion.
Hughes

Northern Ontario and this includes maintaining contact with
known Clients and developing new Clients in the Insurance

James (Jim) Hughes
Associate
Mr. Hughes was educated in the Province of Ontario and is a
graduate of St. Michael’s College in Toronto. Jim graduated
from the Metropolitan Toronto Police Academy and the Ontario
Police College in Aylmer, Ontario, serving twelve years with
the Metropolitan Toronto Police Service, in an array of
responsibilities, from regular uniform duties to specialized
assignments in Mobile Surveillance, Criminal investigations
and Special Events Security.
Since leaving the Police Service in 1989, Jim has worked in
a number of organizations, in the Private Sector, as a
Senior Investigator. These companies required his skills and
expertise, attained through his Police Training and field
experience in major criminal investigations, surveillance
and the preparation and analysis of comprehensive detailed
reports.
In 1994, Jim put together this Company, gathering
investigators from varied areas of expertise that met with
his high expectations and objectives, together with a Client
Base he had established, who were in need of highly skilled,
professional and accountable investigators. From this base,
the current Company, Hughes Intelligence Inc. emerged and
Jim retains the responsibility for Clients, Surveillance,
Investigations and Case File analysis.
Over the past five years Jim has developed protocols, and
conducted major investigations, for our Corporate Clients
and Government Departments, dealing with security, strikes,
loss prevention and theft. He has also conducted
investigations dealing with W.S.I.B. Claims, and harassment
in the workplace.
Jim maintains a “ hands on” overview of all surveillances
conducted by the Company and is involved in Client
Development and our corporate management short and long
range planning.
